My name is Maria Rosa and I have been playing with tarot cards since I was 9 years old. They were my grandmother’s. She used to read them to me when I was a little girl. We would play house and make a fort out of sheets and blankets, and sit inside like our own secret place. Thats where she’d pull out her tarot cards. She’d say “Maria! Don’t be a fool! Be THE Fool!” It was a joke we had, but for a long, long time, I had no idea what she meant.
Until later in life, when I began to take the study seriously, I realized what she meant the entire time. She was trying to tell me to be open to new experiences and always expect the unexpected.
Today, my grandmother has long passed away, and now that I have a grand daughter of my own, it’s up to me to share the wisdom of tarot cards. I still work full time as a nurse practitioner and am getting ready to retire, but at night, I get to read tarot cards to Anita. Next year I’ll be turning 57, which is the same age my grandmother left us due to a heart attack.
As a nurse I am convinced it was because she kept everything bottled up inside of her. She had no where to express herself and it had her heart sad. So I have made up my mind to talk about my personal experiences here on this blog, and maybe even read tarot cards for people if they are interested. I love to help people in every way I can.
Thank you to my grandson Hernando for helping me set up this website and helping me with computers! I don’t know what I would do without him! Mucho gracias Hernandito!
